Q. What is InterLibrary Loan?
ANSWER Last Updated: Jun 25, 2024 Views: 254
For specialized, technical, or out-of-print materials that are not in the SCPL collection, you may wish to consider using Interlibrary Loan (ILL), the process by which the library requests material from, or supplies material to, another library.
How does it work?
Staff in the ILL Department contact other libraries to find a copy of the requested title. A request will show on your library account while this process takes place. Once the book is ready for pickup at your branch, you will receive a holds notification.
Generally ILL books are not renewable, but ILL staff can request a renewal from the lending library on your behalf. ILL books are not renewable through your account online.
Please do not remove any book straps or labels from ILL books.
Please call Telephone Information (831-427-7713) or visit your local library branch to submit an InterLibrary Loan request.
